The winner for my all time favorite Korean Drama goes to…
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha!

This by far is the cutest Korean drama that I’ve seen!
For this blog post, I will basically talk about this drama in three parts: the characters, a summarized plot of the storyline, then my overall thoughts of this drama.
First things first – the characters!
I personally wanted to watch this drama because of Kim Seon-Ho, for which he was the main male character – Hong Du-Sik.
The first drama I saw of Seon-ho was start-up and I loved him there. Similar to that drama, he played a somewhat cold person but deep down he’s very caring. I love the fact how he’s loved by everyone in the drama, how he’s open and straightforward, but yet also very generous of all. I just adored him even more than ever after watching this.
Aside from personality, I truly just admire him from his smile to his dimples. He is just cute-e!

Shin Min-a plays the main female character, Yoon Hye-Jin.
This was the first drama I’ve seen her in and I quite enjoyed her. At first, I did not know how I felt about her. She was quite selfish and inconsiderate of the citizens in the town, so I felt uneasy about it. But soon after when she got more settled into the town, this was when my perspective on her changed. I came to realize she wasn’t all that bad, but she’s actually very caring as well.
I love the person she became.
She’s such a cute and bubbly person!
The moment when her character changed, she also started to sparkle. She is just a lovely, gorgeous lady with a beautiful dimple smile!
Why is it about that I admire of the couple?

In a drama, it’s not often when you see main characters with great chemistry.
It’s either they have good chemistry but not enough scenes, or have scenes with no emotions or just doesn’t seem real. But for this drama, I personally felt like the relationship between Hong Du-sik and Yoon Hye-jin were not forced.
Their chemistry was natural.
They first meet as strangers, then due to countless encounters they start to grow affection towards each other then soon get into a relationship. The thing I loved most about their relationship is when they became an official couple.
They portrayed perfect emotions as a first time love bird, which I thought it was so cute! I couldn’t stop smiling! LOL.

Anyone else?
Other than the main couple, one more person I wanted to recognize – Lee Sang-Yi who played Ji Seong-hyeon.

I really respect this character. He was a high spirit person with a great light.
Despite not being chosen by Yoon Hye-jin, he was very understanding and matured about it. This usually doesn’t happen in a Korean drama, so I really appreciate it! I was not in it for a love triangle, so I appreciate how well he handled this. I also love how he kept it civil with the couple.
If most people were like this in real world, there wouldn’t be so many headaches.
Next I’d like to talk about the story-line. Not only did the characters become my favorites, but the story-line did as well.
The series starts off with Yoon Hye-jin who is a dentist and loses her job from a mistake she did cause from a heartbreak. To start a new life she moves into a small town and builds a dentist clinic.
Arriving new to a town completely opposite from her normal lifestyle, she had to make adjustments.
While settling into the new environment, Hong Du-sik keeps her company as the village chief. As time goes by they encounter unexpected events and eventually start to develop feelings for one another.
Once they start to realize the feelings they have, I’d have to say this was my favorite time period within the drama – is when they start the dating phase.
Later on, Yoon Hye-jin starts to feel as if Hong Du-sik distances himself, and so she tries to help him overcome the problem.
Thoughts?
Overall, I enjoyed every bit of this drama.
Honestly though, the first episode I thought was pretty slow. I did not enjoy Yoon Hye-jin’s attitude in the beginning, so on top of a slow story I wanted to stop watching. But I’m glad I decided to not give up on it!
As mentioned, the top thing I enjoyed was the chemistry between the main characters. They were extremely cute and encouraging to one another.
As a couple, I believe it is crucial to be inspiring to each other or being the stool to help push each other up. And the two had it!

Other than the two, there were a few other stories that I also enjoyed. A a whole, the town is pretty overwhelming as everyone has their own loud character, but everyone had their own story which I thought was unique.
Each story made me view each person differently and made me appreciate them more.
Along with the town, I really loved how tight their relationship was. You can tell they all had a love and hate relationship with each other, but at the end of the day they are very supportive and protective of one another.
This is perfect!
If I were a producer, this would be the exact romantic comedy Korean drama I would produce. 10/10! Recommend!
